Night 4: The Adventures of Kayla and Lucy
There wasn't much adventuring today I must say. Although our evening was a little more interesting. I finally won the battle of her sleeping in her bed, hoping to forgo the crate. However, the little Miss decided at 1:30am that it was time for breakfast and to play. Needless to say, a 1:30am Kayla is not much for playing... or anything besides sleeping really... so back to the crate it was. She had a little trouble settling down, and when I finally fell asleep an hour later it was to dream about a break in and someone with a gun coming downstairs. Needless to say, Lucy came back out of her crate. :P Then it was up at 5:50 wanting to go out, and again an hour later wanting food. Thus the need for a lazy day.
So we stayed in our pjs. I suppose Lucy always stays in her pjs. A dog's life and all that. Went back to sleep after her breakfast, and when we finally got up, I went to work making French toast and bruleed bananas. Yummy and comforting.
We looked at the laundry in the laundry room a couple of times, and again decided to put off folding it another day. Much to Lucy's dismay I'm sure. She does love those dryer sheets. And trips outside were few and far between with the super cold weather. But we did play some ball, and she finally took an interest in her bone again for a bit.
Perhaps tomorrow will be more eventful for us... assuming we can get some sleep first. :)
