Day Two: The Adventures of Kayla and Lucy
Lucy and I bid you good morning! And Happy Friday :D Especially if you have the day off like we do. We are spending the day finding our comfort levels it seems. Really it started last night. Bed time was a stand off. With my repeating and clarifying the term, "your bed" several times before realizing that in Miss Lucy's mind, my couch and blankets were her bed and neither of us were going to cave in our stubbornness. Even with her puppy dog eyes looking up from my lap, and her affectionate nuzzling. So sleeping in the crate was a must... hopefully just for the first night.
We've been fairly productive already this morning. Lucy even helped me with the folding and putting away of laundry. Well, she supervised. I suspect she had ulterior motives. Namely stealing my dryer sheet when I wasn't looking, and exploring the back of my closet.
She had mixed feelings about getting ready for the day. Body spray: good. Hair straightener: bad. But at least now she also smells like Red Velvet cake. It may be a day of conversations. Like the one we just had about my glasses not being toys. She may or may not be sulking at the other end of the couch. Not sure if that's about not being allowed to play with my glasses, or if she's just a little sad about the missing family members. Learning curve for both of us for sure. Lets see what the day holds.
P.S. I remembered to put the blue boxes out! One less thing. :D
